Examining the Correctness of the Articles written in the field of Veterans' Quality of Life– A Mini-review Article

Abstract

Introduction: Accuracy of Quality of Life in the veterans can determine the therapeutic planning strategies and services to this group. According to the information vacuum about the quality of the printed papers, The aim of this study was to Accuracy of writing of  papers related to the quality of life in Veterans.

 Methods: In this review study, all articles related to the quality of life of veterans were collected by searching through online databases such as siencedirect, PubMed, Magiran and SID in 2006 -2016  with the keywords quality of life, veterans, Iran and 30 articles were reviewed.The accuracy of writing, the abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion and sourcing a total of 52 variables were examined. Data analysis was performed using SPSS software version 16 and using descriptive statistics and chi-square.

Results: Accuracy of writing were as follows %39/3% correct,%48/4 relatively correct, and %12/3 incorrect. Inaccuracy among incorrect writing articles were: abstract %59/7, introduction %62/2, methods and materials %54/2, results %56/9, discussion %65/5, and references %25/3.



Conclusion: They have many mistakes in article. Implementations for reducing mistakes in article would  result in increasing validity of articles and application of true study results .
