A Survey to Connection of Occupational Flow and Job Satisfaction in the Personnel of Military Industrial Company

Abstract

Aims: The concept of flow is a matter of concentration in positive psychology. Flow is a state in which people completely become immersed in an activity. This article aims to survey the correlation of Occupational flow and job satisfaction within the employees of Isfahan Military Industrial Company in 1391.
Methods: The study is descriptive and the sample population include 260 personnel of Isfahan Military Industrial Company. The information was gathered by Occupational Flow and Job Satisfaction Questionnaires. Then, it was analyzed using Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient and Stepwise Regression measures by means of SPSS 18 software.
Results: Findings indicate that there is significant connection between occupational flow (absorption, enjoyment, personal motivation) and job satisfaction (p>0/001). Furthermore job enjoyment plays a major role to the job satisfaction (p < 0/001).
Conclusion: All things considered, the study proves that occupational flow has relationship with job satisfaction. Thus, managing boards ought to take into account occupational flow as major parameter to the employees’ job satisfaction.
