Abstract

The term apartheid is originally an Afrikaans word, and its precise meaning is racial segregation. It was coined during the 50-year apartheid era in South Africa and referred to discrimination and the imposition of racial superiority by whites over blacks. This term is still used in the world dictionary today to convey the concept of widespread and official discrimination in various cases. This issue has also spread to the scientific field, and unfortunately, we are witnessing unprecedented pressure and restrictions being imposed on the directors of scientific journals to not accept articles by Iranian authors under the pretext of unilateral sanctions. In some cases, they have even begun to retract reputable scientific articles published in their journals.
