The main goal of this study was to evaluate the unsafe behaviors among a defense industry staffs in Iran and assess the role of warning signs in reduction of mentioned behaviors.   Methods: This intervention study was carried out in one of the defense industries in Iran. At the first stage, using safety behavior sampling technique, behavior of 623 staffs working at studied unit was evaluated. At the second stage, after analysis of collected data, the frequency of each unsafe behavior and their proportion in the whole unsafe behaviors was obtained and then their probable relationships with some demographic features were investigated. Safety behaviors were calculated before and after (2 & 4 months) installation of standard safety signs (ANSI).   Results: Before intervention, 52.1% of behaviors were unsafe. The most frequent ones were the abuse or lack of the use of personal protective equipments, inappropriate postures and incorrect use of manual tools. However, after 2 and 4 months from intervention, unsafe behaviors rate reduced to 33.2 and 38.7%, respectively.   Conclusion: The use of safety signs has significant impact on reducing unsafe behaviors in staffs however, its effectiveness is reduced over the time.   اهداف: روند فزاینده توسعه و استفاده از تکنولوژی‌­های مدرن و پیچیده با وجود مزایای زیاد، باعث بروز مشکلات متعددی در زمینه ایمنی و سلامتی شده که یکی از مهم­‌ترین آنها افزایش نرخ بروز حوادث و بیماری­‌های شغلی است. هدف اصلی این مطالعه، بررسی رفتارهای ناایمن کارکنان یک صنعت دفاعی در ایران و ارزیابی نقش علایم هشداردهنده در کاهش این رفتارها بود.   روش‌­ها: این مطالعه مداخله‌ای در یکی از صنایع دفاعی در ایران انجام گرفت. در فاز اول، با استفاده از روش نمونه­‌برداری از رفتارهای ایمنی، رفتارهای افراد شاغل در واحد مورد مطالعه که مشتمل بر 263 نفر بودند مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. در مرحله دوم، پس از تحلیل داده­‌های جمع‌­آوری­‌شده، فراوانی هرکدام از رفتارهای ناایمن و سهم هر کدام در کل اعمال ناایمن به‌­دست آمد و سپس روابط احتمالی آنها با بعضی از خصوصیات دموگرافیک بررسی شد. رفتارهای ناایمن قبل و پس از (2 و 4 ماه) نصب علایم هشداردهنده ارزیابی شدند.   یافته‌­ها: پیش از مداخله 1/52‌% رفتار‌ها ناایمن بودند. فراوان‌ترین رفتارهای ناایمن شامل عدم استفاده یا سوء استفاده از تجهیزات حفاظت فردی، وضعیت نامناسب و استفاده غلط از ابزارهای دستی بود. با گذشت 2 و 4 ماه از اقدامات مداخله‌ای، نرخ رفتار‌های ناایمن به‌­ترتیب به 2/33 و 7/38% کاهش یافت. نتیجه‌­گیری: استفاده از علایم هشداردهنده تاثیر مثبتی در کاهش رفتارهای ناایمن کارکنان دارد. هرچند که از اثربخشی آن در طول زمان کاسته می‌شود. https://militarymedj.bmsu.ac.ir/article_1000394_dcb8c14d44e20680dcb988c165531350.pdf
