This study aimed to evaluate the effect of skin preparation at the surgical site with povidone-iodine 7.5% and povidone-iodine 10% antiseptics with chlorhexidine and povidone-iodine 10% on the microbial count. Methods: This clinical trial study was performed on 80 patients with elective abdominal surgery. Patients were divided into two groups by simple random methods and proportional allocation of skin preparation with povidone-iodine 7.5% and 10% antiseptics or chlorhexidine and povidone-iodine 10% antiseptics. On the day of surgery, the culture sample was taken before the primary skin preparation, then the primary preparation was done with povidone-iodine 7.5% or chlorhexidine in alcohol, then the second culture was taken, the secondary skin preparation was done in both groups with povidone-iodine10% and then the third culture was taken. Specimens of cultures were taken on a blood agar plate and McConkey plate for the examination of microbial count and type, were immediately transferred to the laboratory. Results: The mean differences in microbial counts before and after skin preparation with povidone-iodine 7.5% and povidone-iodine 10% antiseptics were significant (P=0.001). Also, mean differences in microbial counts before preparation with after skin preparation with chlorhexidine in alcohol antiseptics and povidone-iodine 10% were significant (P<0.001) and in general, both antiseptic groups significantly reduced microbial counts. In comparing the effect of the two groups on the mean microbial count, although the skin preparation with chlorhexidine in alcohol and povidone-iodine 10% antiseptics was better than povidone-iodine 7.5% and povidone-iodine 10% antiseptics, the difference between the two groups was not significant (P=0.324). Conclusion: Both antiseptic groups were able to significantly reduce the mean microbial counts. Therefore, it is recommended that both antiseptic groups be used to prepare skin for surgery.}, keywords = {Surgical Wound Infection,Anti-Infective Agents,Povidone-Iodine,Chlorhexidine,Colony Count}, title_fa = {تاثیر آماده‌سازی پوست محل عمل جراحی با آنتی‌سپتیک‌های پوویدین‌آیوداین 7/5 و 10درصد با کلرهگزیدین و پوویدین‌آیوداین 10درصد بر میزان شمارش میکروبی}, abstract_fa = {زمینه و هدف: آماده‌سازی پوست محل عمل جراحی با آنتی‌سپتیک‌ها، یک اقدام استاندارد برای کاهش عفونت محل عمل جراحی می‌باشد. این مطالعه با هدف بررسی و مقایسه تاثیر آماده‌سازی پوست محل عمل جراحی با آنتی‌سپتیک‌های پوویدین‌آیوداین 7/5 و 10 درصد با کلرهگزیدین و پوویدین‌آیوداین 10 درصد بر میزان شمارش میکروبی انجام شد. روشها: این مطالعه به روش کارآزمایی بالینی بر روی 80 نفر از بیماران انتخابی جراحی شکم انجام شد. بیماران در یکی از دو گروه آماده‌سازی پوست با آنتی‌سپتیک‌های پوویدین‌آیوداین 5/7 و 10 درصد یا آنتی‌سپتیک‌های کلرهگزیدین و پوویدین‌آیوداین 10 درصد به روش تصادفی ساده با تخصیص متناسب قرار گرفتند. در روز عمل جراحی، قبل از آماده‌سازی اولیه پوست نمونه کشت گرفته شد، سپس آماده‌سازی اولیه با پوویدین‌آیوداین 7/5 درصد یا کلرهگزیدین در الکل انجام شد، سپس نمونه کشت دوم گرفته شد، آماده‌سازی ثانویه پوست در هر دو گروه با پوویدین‌آیوداین 10 درصد انجام و سپس نمونه کشت سوم گرفته شد. نمونه کشت‌های گرفته شده بر روی محیط بلادآگار و مک‌کانکی جهت بررسی نوع و شمارش میکروبی فورا به آزمایشگاه منتقل شدند. یافته‌ها: تفاوت میانگین شمارش میکروبی قبل از آماده‌سازی با بعد از آماده‌سازی پوست با آنتی‌سپتیک‌های پوویدین‌آیوداین 7/5 درصد و پوویدین‌آیوداین 10 درصد معنی‌دار بود (P=0.001). همچنین اختلاف میانگین شمارش میکروبی  قبل از آماده‌سازی با بعد از آماده‌سازی پوست با آنتی‌سپتیک‌های کلرهگزیدین در الکل و پوویدین‌آیوداین 10 درصد نیز معنی‌دار بود (P<0.001) و در کل هر دو گروه آنتی‌سپتیک‌ باعث کاهش شمارش میکروبی به صورت مؤثری شدند. در مقایسه تاثیر دو گروه بر میانگین شمارش میکروبی، با وجود این‌که آماده‌سازی پوست با آنتی‌سپتیک‌های کلرهگزیدین در الکل و پوویدین‌آیوداین 10 درصد بهتر از آنتی‌سپتیک‌های پوویدین‌آیوداین 7/5 درصد و پوویدین‌آیوداین 10 درصد بود، ولی تفاوت مشاهده شده بین دو گروه معنی‌دار نبود (p=0.324). نتیجه‌گیری: هر دو گروه آنتی‌سپتیک توانستند میانگین شمارش میکروبی را به صورت چشم‌گیری کاهش دهند؛ لذا پیشنهاد می‌شود از هر دو گروه آنتی‌سپتیک جهت آماده‌سازی پوست محل عمل جراحی استفاده شود.}, keywords_fa = {عفونت محل عمل جراحی,محلول‌های ضدعفونی کننده,پوویدین‌آیوداین,کلرهگزیدین,شمارش کلونی}, url = {https://militarymedj.bmsu.ac.ir/article_1000852.html}, eprint = {https://militarymedj.bmsu.ac.ir/article_1000852_6810f8009bc6423314cb52c7d16a82fb.pdf} }
